How it started
On April 25, took place the foundation meeting of the Brazilian Association of Biodiesel Industries (ABIOdiesel) in the provisional headquarters located at 2000 Paulista Avenue. The initiative to organize the event came from Nivaldo Rubens Trama, oleaginous seeds grower and owner of OLEOVEG (www.oleoveg.com.br), soy-processing industry that has been adapted for the biodiesel production in the ethyl route. The meeting had the participation of 17 people interested in this sector, emphasizing the present industry players and including those companies that are implementing new plants. Representatives from different states of Brazil, as Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Distrito Federal and Paraná were there. The participants signed the minutes as founders, and received a certificate. A large number of guests could not attend to the meeting, but expressed considerable interest in the initiative. During the meeting, which had the presence of two lawyers, was defined the Association Statute and elected the Board of Directors. Nivaldo Rubens Trama was elected as the CEO and as members of the Board: Sílvio Rangel; Fernando Loecádio Teixeira; Miguel Dabdoub; Andréa Borges; Ernesto Del Vecchio; e Rubens Ventura. The actions schedule for the Board of Directors foresees the definition of the ABIOdiesel brand and its website.  Click on the pictures to enlarge them.
